Below you will find some details about my teaching practice and studio policies. Lessons Format

1. I principally teach from my home studio or via Zoom sessions, and offer 1/2 hr, 45 min or 1 hr lessons at either a monthly or single lesson rate (1/2 hour lessons are designed primarily for students under the age of 10).

2. Monthly lessons are scheduled for the same day and time every week, and pricing is based on the cost of 4 single lessons (with a discount for ongoing monthly scheduling/billing). Over the course of a year, there will be 5 months that will have 5 occurrences of any given day of the week. My monthly rate is the same for these ‘5 lesson’ months.

3. Single lessons are scheduled on a drop-in basis (pending availability).  

I do have some other 'Lesson Pack' pricing options if you'd like to get together on a regular basis but your circumstances don't allow for a set weekly schedule. Please contact me for details. 


1. Lessons can be cancelled through the Calendar in the Student Portal; please use this resource wherever possible. After hours and weekend scheduling phone calls/texts will potentially incur administrative fees.

2. Cancellation of a lesson must be made at least 18 hours prior to the scheduled lesson time in order to receive credit for a Make-Up lesson. Make-Up credits are not issued for cancellations with less than 18 hours prior notice (please see ‘Make-Up lessons’ below for more information on rescheduling). 

3. Please try to limit lesson cancellations/reschedules to once per month. Consistency is the key to achieving your goals.

4. If you know of dates ahead of time when you/your child cannot make a lesson, please notify me as soon as possible.

5. I will reach out to reschedule lessons that fall on major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years). I generally teach on most other holidays, but am happy to accommodate rescheduling for these occasions if desired.

6. Should you choose to take a break, unused lessons can be banked for 3 months. Unused lessons after that time will be considered forfeited. Please note that your previous lesson day/time cannot be guaranteed upon your return.

7. Should you decide to stop taking lessons altogether, two lessons notice would be most appreciated. There are no refunds on unused or cancelled lessons.

Make-Up Lessons 

1. Lessons cancelled at least 18 hours ahead of time will automatically receive a Make-Up credit. Exceptions may be made to the 18 hour rescheduling cut-off in the event of Medical or Family emergency. Should such a situation arise, please email me to discuss rescheduling options.

2. Check the calendar for potential availability. By default, your Calendar view only shows your lessons. In order to view all of my booked/scheduled lessons, hit the “Search” dropdown and check “Show full events". Once here, you can see what other spots may be open on my schedule.  

Please note that not all of my non-teaching tasks are listed on the Calendar; not all ‘blank’ spots are necessarily available for teaching. If you see a day/time you think may be suitable, please email me to request a Make-Up lesson in that slot.

3. Make-Up lessons must be booked at least 18 hours before session start time.

4. Students can accrue no more than 3 Make-Up credits at a time. Make-Up credits automatically expire after 90 days.


1. Payments can be made via Venmo, Check, Cash, Zelle or PayPal.

2. Billing for lessons occurs the first of each month; lesson fees are due in advance of lessons.

3. There are no refunds on unused or cancelled lessons.

4. Make-Up credits cannot be transferred.

If you or your family should experience a financial hardship but you’d like to continue lessons, please let me know. I will be happy to try and accommodate so that our lessons can continue without interruption.
